Positions of Disposition ran for the duration of the MA Graduate Show. Using Max (Jitter) and a Kinect Camera, the viewer was tracked within the space resulting in an accumulative motion map being gradually revealed over the 9 days of the exhibition. Live fed on-line and viewable on a screen within the space, it allowed the viewer make a comparative study between the mechanicity of the predetermined economical model and the subjectivity of his/her present lived experience.
(BELOW) A Motion Economic Model based on a predetermined, fixed 9 day optimal path of the exhibition space. A calculated visual representation of an 'ideal' technological and rational understanding between viewer and artwork (Phos-sistema Series 1-8).
A Stop Motion Video chronicling the ACTUAL interaction between viewer and artwork that took place over the duration of the exhibition.....
